Honoring Those Who Serve and Sacrifice

ReadyCommunities Partnership National Service and Sacrifice Awards honor the men, women, organizations or companies which have made exceptional contributions to America's domestic preparedness response, and recovery capability.

These awards reflect commitment and dedication to innovation, partnership, and heroism in community service, and the recipients exemplify dedication to professionalism, leadership, and courage.

Since 2007, the ReadyCommunities Partnership has presented its National Service and Sacrifice Awards to communities, responders--both paid and volunteer, organizations, and citizens for exemplary service to protect America's strategic port and military base communities or to honor those who have sacrificed their lives in this service.

While the awards recognize organizations and individuals for their role in strategic port community and national resiliency, they also help to build community and foster a culture of resiliency for economic and national security and to protect lives in the first 72-hours of a large-scale or national crisis.

The ReadyCommunities Partnership National Service and Sacrifice Awards are presented during CCROA's National Congress for Secure Communities, ReadyCommunities Partnership Symposiums, and other community gatherings.

ReadyCommunities Partnership is a non-partisan initiative and project of the Corporate Crisis Response Officers Association and the Community Institute for Preparedness, Response and Recovery. RCP continues the work of the Gilmore Commission to encourage public-private collaboration to reinforce if not augment the local public sector response capacity.
